KRA defends new tax on fuel, wants suit challenging it dismissed

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has defended the 16 per cent value added tax on petroleum products.

Through lawyer Kenneth Kirugi, KRA said it did nothing wrong by implementing what was passed by the National Assembly and that the case by activist Okiya Omtatah challenging the new tax was baseless.
