National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential campaigner Professor Isaiah Kindiki is confident they will garner more votes in Tharaka Nithi County than the Jubilee Party.

Addressing journalists at Chuka town on Saturday, the coordinator who is also brother to Senate majority leader Professor Kithure Kindiki said the county will deliver a clear, fair and transparent elections as opposed to the 'stronghold ' connotation associated with rigging.

He said: "This time round we are going to change the stronghold tag by giving Kenyans a gift of the most transparent election which will also exhibit democratic maturity in our county."

He said the support for NASA and especially the Presidential flag-bearer Raila Odinga grew after President Uhuru Kenyatta decided to stifle democracy by having all other parties fold up and form the Jubilee Party.

Although the party leaders agreed to fold their parties, he added, the people living and voting in Tharaka Nithi County refused to take this and that's the reason they moved to other parties including Narc-Kenya, Maendeleo chap chap among others.

He said even after this, the Jubilee Party has continued to fight these parties as exhibited in the recent tour of the President when his Deputy William Ruto went on endorsing Jubilee Party candidates as opposed to those from other parties.

"What has happened is that NASA has offered all these people a refuge and we can actually say the parties that have been suffocated by Jubilee have found a breathing space within the NASA family," he said.

Professor Kindiki said it was for this reason that Mr Odinga was enjoying majority of following from other parties apart from Jubilee Party.

He added that NASA was eagerly waiting for the polls day and a majority of votes from the region to deliver to Kenyans and prove to them that never again shall the county be used as an example of election malpractice.

"This will be achievable since every candidate participating in this election is going to guard the votes which has also been NASA's clarion call," he said.
