Man United believe if Bale is left out of starting line-up in the Champions Final then they can sign him

Manchester United will reportedly move for Gareth Bale if he is left out of the starting line-up for the Champions League final.

Real Madrid have Bale back at full fitness ahead of the final against Juventus in his hometown of Cardiff next weekend.

United have been keeping tabs on Bale's situation in recent months as they plan a revamp of their squad this summer.

Reports in Spain suggest that United will be confident of landing the Welshman if he is left out of the starting XI for the final.

Bale is battling Isco for a starting berth for the game against the Serie A champions, where Real will bid to become the first team to retain the Champions League in its current format.

It is claimed that Bale is of the belief that he will be included in the initial XI.

The winger, who has only managed 26 appearances this season, has met with manager Zinedine Zidane and told him that he is 100 per cent fit and ready to be included in the final.

Bale was back at Real's Valdebebas base last week undergoing some individual drills as he stepped up his return, before eventually returning to full training.

Real's staff opted not to push forward Bale's return for the La Liga decider against Malaga last week despite being included in the initial squad.
