Man beats wife for "tampering" with Ugali flour

Whoever said that the way to a man's heart is through the stomach, didn’t lie.  One man in Nalondo village, Kabuchai constituency in Bungoma County, has shocked residents for his bad habit (kumulukha) tearing apart his five year marriage.

It is alleged that the man had been rationing food for his wife.  This involved restricting the number of ugali and occasionally he would draw a motorbike in the flour bucket every morning.

On that fateful day, Mr. Wanjala went on his duties as usually after drawing his motorbike image in the flour bucket.  However during the day, a relative visited his wife and she dared to cook ugali forgetting that the flour had been rubber stamped.

When Makokha came back he went directly to confirm if the flour bucket had been tampered with.  His greatest fears were confirmed when he never found the motorbike he had drawn.  "Where is my motorbike?” he asked.

His wife tried to explain but he would hear none of that.  A heated disagreement between them resulted into a physical fight.  His wife has since left after the incident.
