Kenya, Uganda seek private partner for Sh25b oil pipeline

NAIROBI, KENYA: Kenya and Uganda are looking for a strategic private investment partner to build and operate a $300 million (Sh28.8 billion) pipeline to transport refined petroleum products between the two countries.

The new pipeline is expected to join an existing pipeline from Eldoret and ferry oil to Uganda's capital Kampala, a distance of about 352 km (220 miles).
