Equitel users to top up airtime via M-Pesa

Equitel users can now buy airtime and data bundles on M-Pesa through a new Paybill number. Subscribers will top up without incurring transaction charges for airtime below Sh100.

Equitel transaction income increased to Sh308.8 million in the first quarter of 2017 from Sh176.9 million last year.

Revenue from mobile money, EazzyPay, and other digital products contributed to non-funded income, which increased to Sh6.3 billion from Sh5.1 billion.
