Tourism remains Africa’s
major foreign exchange earner and can only be compared to agriculture. However,
the enormous potential of the sector remains largely untapped.
Dwindling revenues from
agriculture occasioned by decreasing arable land, population pressure and
unpredictable rainfall leave tourism as the continent’s main economic mover.
Tourism prospects are major because of a combination of factors; the continent
is endowed with natural forests, a rich culture, good climate and spectacular
landscapes that make it a must-visit destination.
