Machakos governor doing a laudable job

While growing up, we were constantly assured that the future belongs to the youth. We kept waiting in vain for this future. Some of us had to travel abroad to seek greener pastures.

Why then is Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua receiving criticism for being the progressive leader we all knew the youth could produce?

Why should he bow down to leaders from his tribe who have done nothing for the Kamba people?

We in the diaspora are behind Dr Mutua. He should ignore propaganda and develop Machakos County and eventually the country.

We have followed the progress of his development track. It’s amazing how he has managed to initiate so many projects in such a short period of time.

The recent initiative of delivering water to households for domestic use and small-scale farming is commendable.

The kind of leadership keen on criticising the Machakos Governor have got nothing to offer Kenya. They have been here as leaders, some for over 30 decades.

Kenya cannot advance if all we do is constantly stand in the way of development and people who spearhead that change.

Governor Mutua should be encouraged to transform his county, and God willing, transform Kenya.
