Man found dead in Naivasha after night spent with sex worker

Three men have died in separate and unclear circumstances. In the first incident, a middle-aged man said to have sought the services of a commercial sex worker was found dead in a guest house in Naivasha town.

It is suspected that the man was drugged by the woman after a night out before she fled with all his personal belongings, including cash.

A witness said the man was seen in one of the night clubs in the town with the woman before they retreated to the guest house.

"Workers cleaning the rooms failed to get a response when they knocked on the door or the room. They called the police who broke down the door and found the man's body on the bed," said the witness.

Police confirmed the incident and noted that the man did not have any identification documents.

In the second case, a construction worker slipped and fell from a two-storey building in Mai Mahiu town and died on the spot.

The man was in the company of other builders when he met his death. The incident paralysed operations in the area.

James Kiarie, a witness, said the man was ferrying construction materials when he slipped and fell.

Blunt object

"The accident happened very fast; the man fell on his head and died on the spot," said Mr Kiarie.

And in the same town, a man said to be a hawker was found lying in a pool of blood in his house.

It is not clear what led to his death but neighbours said he may have been killed with a blunt object.

"He had been seen earlier in the day washing his clothes before his body was found lying in a pool of blood oozing from the back of his head," said a witness.

The two bodies were taken to the Naivasha Sub-county Hospital mortuary as police launched investigations.
