Deputy President William Ruto has asked leaders in Makueni County to embrace dialogue and amicably resolve their differences.

He said that wrangles among leaders were stifling development in the area and asked them to find ways of unlocking the stalemate.

“I plead with all leaders to stop quarreling amongst themselves and instead resolve to amicably work together for the sake of development of Makueni County,” he said.

Speaking at Muiu in Mbooni constituency where he officially opened Kisoi Munyao Memorial Health Centre, Mr Ruto said leaders should endevour to serve Kenyans instead of engaging in endless power struggles.

Mbooni MP Michael Kisoi Munyao extolled the important role played at the constituency level in accelerating development noting that strapping the fund will stifle development.

“We are witnesses of the key role played by CDF and we should do everything possible to ensure the fund is not scrapped for speedy developed of our country.”

Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior and his Mandera counterpart Billow Kerrow promised to effectively address the issue of CDF when the matter comes before the Senate so that fund is properly anchored in the constitution

Others were women representative Rose Museo and Yatta MP Francis Mwangangi.
