Confirming the incident Musa Yego, the head of the region’s criminal investigation department said unidentified attackers pelted weapons suspected to be hand grenades at an eatery joint, where people usually frequent at the evening for quick foods.

“Unknown armed criminals targeting customers at a small food kiosk, along Garissa Ndogo area injured seven people who were having their food” he said in a phone interview.

He added “The victims were rushed to Garissa general hospital by good Samaritan, where they are undergoing medical attention. Three of them are critically injured, while the rest sustained slight injuries,” he added
