Zetech football head coach Zedekiah Otieno says his charges will perform better after they were promoted to Football Kenya Federation’s Division One league.

The Titans finished second with 33 points behind league leaders Liberty, who had 38 points.

“Our last match against Gor Mahia Youth was crucial for us as we all chased promotion. We needed a draw from the fixture and I am glad we landed maximum results. Generally, the match was tough, but the boys contained our opponents.

“Good results have come our way because we had great preparations. I hope the promotion will motivate us next season as we aim to register better results,” he said.

Otieno knows what awaits him next season and he said he will inject new blood in the team so that they can have a competitive squad.

“We will definitely have to recruit more. When a team moves to a higher league, there is need to strengthen the squad because the league becomes tougher.

“Our main goal is to climb up the ladder until we get to the National Super League and eventually, the premier league. This will take bold steps, but we will make it, if we plan well,” he said.
