A woman rep has given birth to a child after waiting 17 years. Nyeri County women representative Pricillah Nyokabi delivered a baby boy over the weekend. Ms Nyokabi announced the news on her social media page yesterday.

“I thank God for the blessing of a baby boy named Kiiru after my father-in-law. Mum and baby are recovering well,” she said.

In a rare expression of the state of her personal life, Nyokabi (above) admitted she was happy to be a mum after 17 years, saying that her firstborn daughter is in Form Four.
