Fertile man has 40 children by 20 different women - and wants even more

England: One of the UK's most prolific fathers has 40 children by 20 different women - and says he still wants to have even more kids.

Mike Holpin doesn't believe in contraception and loves sex, even though he claims it is difficult for him to remember the names of all of his offspring.

The 56-year-old recovering alcoholic from Ebbw Vale tries to keep track of all his children by tattooing their names across his back.

He says he isn't sure of the exact numbers but has 22 children with his name and 18 without, reports Wales Online.

He also says there are "probably a few more" of his children out there.

He is believed to be one of the UK’s most prolific fathers with offspring aged between 37 and three, and claims that he would be happy to add to his brood.

But he is not in touch with all of them and others have been removed by social services.

Tonight, his story will be told in the Channel 5 documentary 40 Kids by 20 Women.

In it, he insists he is a changed character and that he wants nothing more than to be reunited with all his children...and have more.

“I’m as fertile as sin,” explains Mike, who says his first sexual experience was when he was nine.

“I don’t believe in contraception and I love sex.”

With many of his relationships failing and the majority of the children being taken into care because of his alcoholism, he talks about his biggest regret.

“Due to my drinking and my womanising, most of my kids have gone through the care system,” he explains.

“It makes me feel like s*** because they’ve suffered. They [social services] took them from me because I’m an alcoholic.

"I’m still an alcoholic - I just don’t practise it.

“When they went into care, I made a promise that no matter how long it took, I will get my kids home.”

And he his hoping they will have more siblings to join with the help of his fiancée Diane.

“I’m only 56,” he says.

“I’ll never stop having children. Never stop. In the Bible, God says go forth and multiply.

"I’m doing what God wants.”
