Lupita Nyong’o names her favorite make-up after Kenyan experience

Ladies love make-up and will often go out on shopping sprees just to get the finest brands out there but for Lupita Nyong’o, her make-up game is on a different lane.

After being declared the Lancome Ambassadress last year, Lupita has done well to popularize the “dark complexion and skin toned girls” make-up pallets which were rare to find years back.

To date, some mainstream make-up companies hardly deal with ‘dark’ complexion products but Lupita’s role and affiliation to the Lancome brand has brought forth positive change and perceptions with many girls now buying the products.

A few days back Lupita was honored to name one of the Lancome eyeshadow Palletes which she called “Jacaranda Bloom” after her experience growing up. Even better she wore this make to the golden globes and looked stunning while at it.

In regards to her inspiration for the name, here is what she had to say:

So for the #goldenglobes, I wore this new @lancomeusa "Jacaranda Bloom" #eyeshadow. The super-talented Nick Barose designed the palette, and I named it. Jacaranda Bloom because it immediately reminded me of growing up with the Jacaranda trees that lined the field hockey pitches of my elementary school. In February the flowers would rain onto the red soiled field and create a beautiful and delicate purple trimming around it. The earth tones and the purple created an unforgettable image. #goldenglobes @dilokritbarose
