Hottest matatu: Eastleigh’s Najib rocks 24 screens

Swimming

Eastleigh, better known as Route 9, has never been short of cool javs and currently, one of the most adored rides there is Najib, this power-oozing monster.

Named after Somali president Farmajo, this ride is bright with graffiti both to intimidate others and impress Pulsers. The designer employs the use of real photos that help bring everything to life.

Away from the actual photos used as art in its interior, a touch quite unique from other matatus, this jav is fitted with 24 small screens on the leather seats and on the exterior.

It has leather seats that are as comfortable as a lounge setting to make your short journey enjoyable.

Its exterior is all ‘wizard’, a term used to explain the body colour that changes depending on the amount of light available.

The matatu’s fine body works are a combination of magical Touches by Cosmic, a designer from Kayole who is growing steadily and noted in the industry and Bradz, an air-brush artiste who is popular when it comes to pimping mats.

Its sound system consists of two 3010 Kenwood and two Pioneer woofers with the support of a four-channel amplifier, 1000watts each, and a crossover, six midranges speakers and eight mid-bass, all put in place by Banita sounds.

The 29-seater will not be a game changer without the mention of its muffler, loud enough to awaken the dead!
