A  woman has sued her boyfriend for allegedly breaking her leg after he found out another man had paid for her taxi.

Eunice Wanjiru, 30, claimed that Bernard Wachira Ndegwa attacked her after they arrived home after a night-out on May 31 at Buruburu estate.

According to police records, the couple had left home and headed to different clubs, but around 10pm, Wachira, asked Wanjiru to join him.

It is alleged the two had a good time and at around 1am, Wanjiru called a taxi to drop them home.

The court heard that when they arrived home, Wachira demanded to know who had paid for the taxi and she (Wanjiru) confessed his male pal had paid for it.

It is reported that an angry Wachira descended on her with kicks and blows. Neighbours who heard the commotion rushed to  the scene and rushed Wanjiru to hospital.

Wachira was arrested but he denied the charges. He was released on a Sh20,000 cash bail. His case will be heard on September 22.
