Chief Justice Willy Mutunga (pictured) has defended his tenure as head of the Judiciary.

Speaking to governors at a Nairobi hotel, Dr. Mutunga, admitted that the fight against graft was an uphill task as corruption cannot be fully eliminated.

He traced the war on corrupt individuals to Biblical times in his answer to those who have criticised him for not doing enough.

“At least I have done something. The true test of leadership against corruption is not necessarily an elimination of the vice, but willingness to act on it when you find it.”
