Tell police what you know on ICC, MPs tell Raila Odinga

Eleven Jubilee MPs have asked former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to record a statement regarding the cases facing Deputy President William Ruto and journalist Joshua arap Sang at The Hague.

They said it is hypocritical for anyone to say Ruto was fixed yet he was not ready to record a statement.

Led by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, the leaders said the ICC should not be politicised.

“The ICC will not be the basis under which the next leadership of this country will be determined. We want the truth on what transpired on this whole issue,” said Murkomen.

Speaking during a harambee at Kapchebau Secondary School, Marakwet East, Murkomen said the round of prayers conducted by the clergy and the Jubilee legislators are being answered because Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Raila have publicly admitted that the cases at the ICC may have been based on testimonies of false witnesses.

Murkomen and the MPs asked other individuals who may be privy to what happened prior to the beginning of the ICC cases to come forward with information that will set Ruto and Sang free.
