Nakuru East Member of parliament David Gikaria now wants the court to dismiss a case where he is being charged with handling vandalised street lamp posts worth Sh893,200.

Mr Gikaria, charged with being in possession of 20 stolen steel electric posts, 21 lanterns and a sign post all belonging to the Nakuru Municipal Council, said there is no evidence linking him to the accusations.

This was after two witnesses testifying against the MP told the court they were informed that the posts were being kept at the MP’s Pangani home.

The MP, who is out on a Sh60,000 bond, was present in court for the hearing Wednesday.
