The best way to set your goals

Any student who does not plan for success, plans to fail. A student who plans to succeed will set his goals that will function as their milestones to help them reach their destination quicker.
The goals should be systematically arranged, so that your mission is clear, otherwise you will be lost in the wilderness. Ask yourself why you are doing whatever you are doing right and whether you are proud of what you have achieved this far. Learn the why, how and when of doing things.
Here's how to set your goals whether short term or long term!
Reflect: Reflect over your life as a student, where are you going? What makes you want live and continue striving in school?
Plan: Do not wait for another day to start. Know exactly where you are going, the resources you need to get you there and who will facilitate your getting there. At the same time, always have a plan B. Say no to procrastination, go ahead and just do it. The more you postpone your ideas, the greater the regrets later. The faster you can get things done, the better.
Take small steps: Think big in all yours thoughts. Once you are done with the planning, execute the plan. Make your goals small in the beginning, with baby steps while you focus the larger picture. They say a journey of a thousand miles begins with one small step. Focusing on too many things at once is the beginning of problems. Focus on one goalat a time.
Write: Grab a pen and paper and write down the actual steps you need to take to reach your end. Divide your plan into years, month, week and finally into days. Give yourself a deadline. Writing down your steps keeps you focused and committed.
Be specific: Avoid dealing with things that are not measurable. Words like 'more' and 'some' should not be part of your vocabulary. If you say 'I will read more books', you leave too much wiggle-out room.
Leave room for failure: Do not expect everything to run perfect and smoothly. Despite any hurdles, however, be persistent. IT is not always that you will make it with the first try, but just go right ahead.
Track your progress: Yes we agree there could be failures but this should not blind you so that you don't focus. Have a regular checklist journal to track your goals.
Reward your success: If you fail, don't beat yourself. Many successful people have had to go through failure before they made it big. To succeed, avoid any kind of negative thoughts in your head.
Identify a support system: You can never succeed alone. A goal partner will help see you through. Adding just one person to your support group doubles your motivation, commitment and energy.
