“Don’t speak to me about Harry Kane” – Mourinho sends message to Spurs ahead of Premier League clash

Manchester United Manager has told reporters not to talk to him about Tottenham Hotspurs striker Harry Kane.

This is after it was reported that the England striker would miss the mouth-watering clash at Old Trafford on Saturday, news that didn’t seem to fascinate ‘The Special One’.

Kane has been Spurs’ main man this season, scoring eight goals in 9 appearances. He has been sidelined with a hamstring injury and will miss the crunch clash with the Red Devils.

Manchester United have been in a slump lately, losing their unbeaten record the newly promoted Huddersfield, even though they beat Swansea 2-0 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

In a briefing with the press, Mourinho said that people should not talk to him about Harry Kane’s injury yet he has to play without French midfielder Paul Pogba, Belgian powerhouse Marouane Fellaini, veteran Michael Carrick and injury-prone Argentinian Marcos Rojo.

Man Utd beat Spurs 1-0 last season at the Theatre of Dreams but succumbed to a 2-1 loss at White Hart Lane in the second leg.

They, however, have received a major boost after Ivorian Eric Bailly returned to training. Phil Jones was also present at the Carabao Cup tie with Swansea though he watched the match on the bench.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side was eliminated in the Carabao Cup by Westham, a club struggling to find its form this season.

Moussa Sissoko and Delle Alli scored for Spurs while Andre Ayew and Angelo Ogbonna earned Westham London bragging rights. Mourinho also said that his side was fine, strong and that he was ready to face Tottenham
