Becoming an adolescent mother will not only make you drop out of school, it will also relieve you of your duties in your church. Stereotypes against children who have children have always brought girls untold suffering. Psychosocial stress, rejection, stigma and discrimination are just but some of the problems associated with teenage pregnancy.

 

In poverty settings, young girls who become victims of unintended pregnancy are always dumped both by family and those responsible for the pregnancy. Stereotypes that associate pregnancy in school with immorality often work against affected girls.
