How my affair with a government official started.

It was a cold morning. I hate the cold and more so the cold season. That made this morning a morning that I didn't like because it was cold and it was in the cold season.

So the day wasn’t going to be much better. I woke up at 4:00 AM. I did some early morning studying as usual then after made a cup of coffee for myself. I sat down with a hot cup of coffee to watch an episode on bones.

This ended at six am. Got into the bathroom and was out of the shower by 6:40. Got dressed and was out of the house by seven.

Then I got out into the cold. But I was still warm that was for some minutes until I lost all the heat that I had gotten out of the house with. I shivered all the way to the bus stop.

Luckily there was a matatu there I jumped in and looked for a seat. I saw a familiar face and went to where it was. I walked over took a seat and greeted her.

I had sat next to this woman for nearly a month. I didn't know her name, but we occasionally talked on the way to town she knew I was a student but she didn’t know which course I was pursuing.

I knew she worked in the government offices but I dint know what post she had in the office where she worked.

I thought it wasn’t that high since she was taking a matatu each and every morning. To this point, my morning was just normal.

She was seated next to the window saw how I was shivering and offered me her shoal. I had known her for some time so I accepted.

I was still shivering but no as much as before. She put her arm over my shoulder and pulled me closer to her and I got warm really fast. “Unaskia baridi bado” she asked. “no,naskia joto sai” I answered. It felt really awkward at first but I was really cold and thought it as an act of kindness.

We talked all the way to town. And the route being jam packed we had time to talk, She asked me about what I liked to do when I am at home, my hobbies she seemed to be really interested in with what I was doing.

But I didn't pick that up right away I just thought she was just trying to make that awkward ride to town less awkward. That was what I thought I am not that fast in picking up signals from women.

When we got to the CBD we got off the matatu, exchanged numbers, she gave me a peck on the cheek and we went our separate ways. When I got to class she had already texted me. I texted back little did I know what was about to happen in the coming months.
