Tiger King star Carole Baskin has responded to Cardi B accusing her of murder in retaliation for criticism of her latest music video. Animal rights activist Carole had previously hit out at the music video for Cardi's track WAP with Megan Thee Stallion for its use of large wild cats.
This prompted Cardi to respond to i-D by saying: "I’m not gonna engage with Carole Baskin on that." She then added: "Like, that’s just ridiculous you know? Oh, Lord. Like, girl you killed your goddamn husband." Now Carole has reacted to the Bodak Yellow star's latest remarks, which reference the disappearance of Carole's second husband Don Lewis in 1997.
Carole told Mirror Online: "When most people are called out for their involvement in cruelty to animals they know there is no justification that will persuade others so they have to deflect the conversation to something else."
The animal rights activist previously slammed the Wap video when speaking to Entertainment Weekly for it for likely using "one of the big cat pimps, who makes a living from beating, shocking and starving cats to make them stand on cue in front of a green screen in a studio".
She added: "That’s never good for the cat." The CEO of Big Cat Rescue rose to fame after appearing in the Netflix docuseries Tiger King: Murder, Madness and Mayhem which focused on her rivalry with exotic animal keeper Joe Exotic.

Carole is currently facing a lawsuit from the family of her presumed dead second husband. "We're going to serve (Baskin) with a lawsuit, but not a lawsuit for damages, it's a lawsuit for equity," revealed their attorney John Phillips on Monday. Don Lewis' family are also offering a $100,000 (£76,500) reward for information on his disappearance.
Phillips added of the lawsuit plans: "Generally you announce a $150 million lawsuit and how we're going to get justice and we are going to do all of that in time. But our office wants to invite reason, to invite civil conversation where it can be had."

Carole declined to comment on the latest legal developments when asked by Mirror Online.
