Just hours after Ureport highlighted the story of an officer
who controls traffic at the Kenyatta Avenue/Koinange Street intersection, Kenyans
online have continued to heap praises on him for his diligence.
Only identified as Ben, it seems his generous
works have gone ahead of him as netizens highlighted several instances they
interacted with him.
Described as a gentleman by many, the officer has been
lauded for being professional and adopting a rational approach to various
incidents on Kenyatta Avenue and Koinange Street.
Below we have sampled some of the incidents highlighted by
Kenyans online.
Rose Kariuki:
I can personally attest on this policeman. He is very dedicated calm,
collected, virtuous and a real human being in uniform. Seen him many years.
There is also another senior officer on Langata Road Mbagathi road Mutune who
needs recognition for solving Langata road issues.
Kate
Sixiouie Rankz I agree. This guy is a real gentleman. Whenever am
am driving around GPO and see him I always see a dedicated man to his job. I
once told him "Afisaa unafanya kazi nzuri sana". May God reward him
richly.
Peter
Onyango Omollo He once served justice to his colleagues. I was in
a citi hoppa at Kenyatta avenue-Uhuru highway roundabout. Then a toyota fielder
hit us from the sides. The occupants of fielder came out wielding police radios
and immediately handcuffed hopa driver. This cop came, armed with a piece of
chalk. He concluded the fielder was on the wrong. The officers couldn't believe
their own disowning them.
Alice
Sherry I declare and decree in the name of Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, that this officer will never lack in his entire life together with
his generation, in the mighty name of Jesus. May he live to experience the
blessings of the Lord Jesus Christ forever and ever Amen.
James
Samuel When God has pointed you, even the blind will tell the
colour of clothes you are puting on. May God bless him & his family for
that good work noticed.
Nyatado
Odhes In this league, you will find Inspector Mutune at the Tmall
roundabout. The fellow gives it all. In a minute you will see him at the
roundabout, then walking all the way towards Wilson airport, to ensure Langata
road is unclogged, before sweating it again towards Madaraka, to pull traffic
before ending up in Mai Mahiu, towards Moi Education center, come rain or
shine, Mutune is the man for Traffic in Nairobi. Part of his Job is also to
ensure Pedestrians crossing the road in droves from Kibera to Industrial area
and back are safe and are not delayed at the very dangerous crossings. Hats off
for Mutune.

Alex Gichomo One

and told him to get an umbrella from my Car’s boot.
He was very happy.
Samuel
Mukiti I support his promotion... I usually call him 'omwami'. The
only objective and passionate traffic cop I have seen in Nairobi. He is
solution oriented and not opportunistic. Always ready to excel in his job.I
recommend also.
Kenneth

Lenz Kolil I

Alex Kamande This
officer is exemplary. On several occassions I even begged to buy tea but
refused! Come rain, come sunshine, he's out helping motorists. All police
should emulate this and Kenyans will have a different perception.
George Ajode I worked as a bus conductor with Stagecoach Kbs then, this officer was very good n fair when assessing accident scenarios, n did his job with all professionalism required.
