From medical doctor to stone thrower, you need to be careful about your image – Mwaura to Khalwale

Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura on Monday, November 11, 2019, added salt to Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale’s wounds.

Sitting as a panelist in a morning show in a local television station, Mwaura stated that it is important for a leader to always maintain a good reputation.

Commenting on the viral photographs and videos of Khalwale’s ordeals, the nominated senator pointed out that his acts were unexpected for a leader.

He also advised Khalwale and other politicians to be careful about hanging their dirty linen to the public.

The events in question happened on November 7, 2019, during the Kibra constituency by-elections.

In his defense regarding the incident, Khalwale likened himself to Daniel of the bible who was surrounded by lions ready to pounce on him.

“My situation was like that of Daniel in the Bible who suddenly found himself surrounded by lions. I stood my ground and handled them man to man” Said Khalwale.

He further added that it was after he weighed the situation that he realised he had to handle the situation man to man.

Dr Boni Khalwale supported Jubilee party’s candidate McDonald Mariga during the by-elections.

Orange Democratic Movement’s (ODM) candidate Imran won the Kibra Constituency by-elections.
