Court grants two NYS employees accused of murder Sh500,000 bond each

Two National Youth Service (NYS) employees accused of killing two casual labourers in Homa Bay County have been granted a Sh500,000 bond each.

Michael Adhemba and Albert Kipchirchir appeared before Homa Bay Judge Joseph Karanja where they were accused of killing the casual labourers.

The two who are employees of Lambwe NYS Development Unit in Suba South Sub County took plea on Monday.

They are accused of murdering Hesbon Nyamweya and Geoffrey Ochoki at Nyadenda Sub Location, in Suba South Sub county on April 28.

The court was told that the two collaborated with other people who were not before court to commit the heinous act.

Court decided that the two had a case to answer after a medical assessment conducted at Homa Bay Teaching & Referral Hospital revealed that the officers were mentally fit to face trial.

Justice Karanja scheduled hearing date of the case for October 29.
