Britain to invest 100m pounds in sub-Saharan Africa renewables fund

LONDON - Britain will provide 100 million pounds ($127 million) for a scheme to help to support renewable power projects in sub-Saharan Africa, the government said on Tuesday.

The funding pledge comes as delegates from more than 190 countries meet in Poland to flesh out how to reach commitments made under the 2015 Paris Agreement to keep the rise in global temperature below 2 degrees Celsius this century.
