The Baringo County Assembly is on the spot for allegedly purchasing a Ksh20,000 chopping board.
A report by the Baringo County Assembly Public Accounts and Investment Committee also revealed that the payments were not done through the appropriate channels by the previous county assembly (2013-2017).
The supplier of the chopping board was apparently paid upon delivery and receipts were issued immediately, contrary to the public procurement system.
