Lawmaker given Sh250m to shield CEO in graft war

Still in the August House and on matters extortion, another member of the National Assembly from Nyanza is the talk among his counterparts in the house, after he reportedly was given Sh250 million by a CEO of state corporation.

The smooth talking legislator who is doing his first time in parliament took the money, claiming that he will use it to influence his colleagues not to kick out the official whose institution has been in the news for bad reasons.

It is not understood if the politician, who introduces himself as a ‘welfare chairman’ shared the loot with others or he kept it all for himself.

It will be interesting to see if the tainted top officer will survive the purge.
