The family of the late Kofi Annan - former Secretary General of the United Nations and Nobel Peace Laureate - on Saturday mourned the demise of the global statesman, requesting privacy during this difficult moment.
Through a Facebook post, the family divulged that the deceased’s wife Nane and their children Ama, Kojo and Nina were by his side during his last days, adding that Annan passed away peacefully on Saturday 18 August.
