Father pens emotional letter to daughter who was choked to death by food

20th April 2018 marked exactly five years since you left us to be with your maker our Princess! They have been 5 years of sorrow and constant grief. I have never moved on ever since and keep living in denial that you are just visiting the Lord and will soon return but in what form I don't know.

The bond you had between your twin sister baby Temmanneh, your mom and I was just too profound and everlasting, your demise shocked all of us since no one saw it coming. Baby, you were jovial and marvelous as usual and this photo reminds us of the day so well.

This was the last family lunch date before the very food which was meant to make you grow fat and healthy turned out to be the very cause of your death, food chocking is real and a killer disease which every parent out there must find a way of dealing with.

This must appear simple to some of us who haven't been victims but we all must accept that regardless of one's age, losing a baby is about the most devastating event a human being can go through, your mum lost it all, everyone in our family lost it with your death and the most worrying part is when your little sister kept asking us where you went to and we have no answer since she still knows nothing about death, it's our hope that one day we shall make her understand.

As it's written in the book of Mathew 19:14 , " But Jesus said, ' let the little children come to me and do not try to stop them, for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. " we have never understood why it had to be you. I asked God why and at some point doubted His existence but we were taught never to question God but always learn to accept and let His will be done. 

I still don't believe that time heals all wounds. The wounds in my heart shall always remain, a times the mind protecting it's sanity covers the scars and we tend to think we are healed and the pain lessens with the help of those people out there who really loves you but the pain is never gone as Rose Kennedy puts it.

As you rest in the right hand of the most high, I draw my strength from Hooker who ask us no to think of you as dead, but as living, not as a flower that has withered but as one that is transplanted, and touched by a Divine hand, is blooming in richer colors and sweeter shades than those of earth.

May the good Lord give us an answer why it had to be you and until then, 20th April shall forever remain the darkest day of our lives. Rest In Peace our Princes and just know that mommy, sister, and daddy still love you as always.
