Bahati says he is not allowed to go near the President and his Deputy

Gospel singer Bahati while performing at a public event in Kirinyaga County made a revelation that he is not allowed to go anywhere near President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto.

The public event was attended by the Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru and DP William Ruto.

“I am still excited to sing in your presence and see you getting excited Bwana Deputy President,” said Bahati while performing.

“Nowadays I can only wave to you from afar, I was told not to come near you during performances, but still, that okay,” the singer told DP Ruto.

The Mama Song hit singer made headlines on Saturday, September 10, 2016, while performing at the Kasarani Stadium during the mega launch of the newly formed Jubilee Party.

Bahati shocked everyone when he unseated President Uhuru, took his presidential seat and sang to First Lady Margaret Kenyatta. He later did the same for DP Ruto.

The Gospel Singer was highly criticized especially by netizens on social media most of who said that he was taking the joke way too far.
