Videos of President Uhuru and the cute boy from Mombasa who sang ‘Uhuruto Tano Tena’ are the best thing ever

In early September 2017, Young Omar Mohamed from Mvita Constituency, Mombasa County became the talk of the town after a video of him passionately singing the ‘UhuRuto Tano Tena’ song surfaced online.

Omar 6, was spotted in Mwembe Tayari, Mombasa at his parents’ shop in full Jubilee attire. The neighbor who heard him recorded the video and later send it to Omar’s father, who was on assignment in a neighboring country. Omar’s father described the boy as comical.

On 9 October while President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto visited Mombasa for their campaigns, young Omari got the chance to interact with the president.

The head of state who seemed very delighted, carried the young boy around while they had a chit chat. The boy’s facial expression when he met the president was priceless. His dreams had come true.

Young Omari even had the chance to kiss the president on his cheeks and told Uhuru that if he was a muslim “angependeza sana.” Omari then went ahead and sang the ‘Uhururo Tano Tena’ song after the president requested him to do so.

Omar also told the president that he want to live with him,

“Mimi nataka kuishi na wewe tu… uwe babangu,” said the delighted young boy.
