VIDEO: Babu Owino reveals the details of his horrific experience while in jail

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili aka Babu Owino shared his horrific experience during the time he was in jail after being charged with hateful remarks against the presidency at the Kilimani Law Court.

During an interview with Hot 95 FM, Babu Owino said that there were men who were sent to the Pangani Police Station to harm him.

“The first day when I went to Pangani, they brought in Rastafarians, I think the Nairobi Business Committee, and then they brought in chokoraas, around 30 people, past midnight. And then they poured water on the floor of the cell, so I could not sit down, I could not sleep, it was just about standing. Now when these people came in, they told me, ‘Babu Owino we know you as a person who has been serving the interest of Kenyans, we’ve been brought here to harm you, but we will not’, said Babu Owino.

He later revealed that it was the OCS Pangani who had sent the people into the cell. He also said that on the second night when he went to Kileleshwa police station, underage chokoraas were brought in.

“They said that they were transferred from Central Police Station to Kileleshwa Police station to again come and shout that Babu Owino must go, specific words,” the MP continued.
