What transpired before Sergio Aguero's car crash in Amsterdam

Antonio Conte’s men will have something to smile regarding their Premier League clash with Manchester City.

Fresh off securing a 2-1 win over Spanish giants Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, Chelsea will be looking to close the gap on log leaders Man City as they face off at Stamford Bridge, London.

Manchester City will be without top scorer Sergio Aguero after the striker was involved in a car crash in Amsterdam, injuring his ribs.

The club released a statement on Friday 29th September 2017 saying, "Sergio Aguero will be assessed by Club doctors today after being involved in a road accident on Thursday.”

According to reports, Aguero went to Amsterdam to attend singer-songwriter Maluma’s concert.

Aguero’s injury will also have an effect on the national team (Argentina), who will play at home against Peru in a World Cup Qualifier.

He has scored six goals for Man City this season, providing three assists.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that he might be out for two months but fans still await official communication from the club.

Fans on Twitter have expressed their rage at Aguero, most asking why he went to Amsterdam two days before a massive game.
