Does President Uhuru Kenyatta trust the Judiciary? - Kenyans up in arms

The President is a symbol of national unity and is required by law to respect independent institutions.

Attacking the Judiciary to intimidate judges in order to get them to succumb to pressure means Uhuru Kenyatta has lost touch with the principles that come with the presidency. Did he forget that he is the Head of State? Does he want to convince Kenyans that he is a failed president? Kou Anyak Kou

I support the President 100 per cent. It’s clear that NASA and some sections of the Judiciary are doing all they can to scuttle the August 8 elections.

But IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati has remained firm and has the support of the Executive and the majority of Kenyans. This means we shall have elections. I expect instigation to anarchy but this will be quelled, and life will go on. With new lessons.

Does this mean Uhuru doesn’t trust the Judiciary? Why all the suspicions yet Jubilee Party is to blame for ballot tender delays?

They wasted a lot of time, even going to court to block NASA’s petition concerning ballot tender issues. Does he want to force us to agree with him that because of time, Al-Ghurair must print all the ballot paper materials? Something must be fishy!

Chief Justice is right. This time, Kenyans want to see the Judiciary and IEBC doing their jobs fairly and independently.

Uhuru as a president should be at the forefront of making sure the courts are respected. If they are not respected, an election crisis after the elections is possible.

The courts have tried to work independently but they have been attacked.
