Police Harassed my Mum, Squeezed my Genitals-Boy Claims

A boy, 17, is claiming that some police officers from Iten police post stormed their home, harassed his mother and squeezed his private part, on Saturday evening.

The minor who is said to have been assisted by good samaritans to get medication at Iten county referral hospital has recorded a statement with Iten police and is now seeking for justice.

The boy says that he was protecting his mother from the officers in question who he alleges stormed their house in Lilies Estate, within Iten town.

Douglas Kiprotich, said the officers came to their home and asked for his mother but few minutes after directing them, he heard some commotion, rushed into the house and found the officers beating her up.

It is when he intervened that he met the reported brutal beating from the alleged security officers.

Martin Lokalis, the boy’s father was shocked to hear the news as none of his family members was on a police wanted list.

Lokalis who is a clinical officer in Tambach Sub-county hospital and husband to Nella Tuigong, the victim, has opted to go the legal way.

Speaking to Journalists at Iten police station, an irritated father said the officers forcefully dragged his wife to Iten police station where they stayed for hours without being booked.

However, Keiyo North OCPD Mwenda Meme said the area director of criminal investigations has launched investigations into the incident.
