February PL Awards: Hazard, Kane and Guardiola honoured

 In Kenya we have so many universities.A mong these universities, the University Nairobi has stood up to be a university of its own kind.

This university has produced top brains in the county and it has steadfastly continued to outshine other universities in Kenya and Africa.

For instance, the University of Nairobi was ranked among the top in Africa for a good number of years.

Besides that when we talk about women leadership this has been a hotbed of vibrant women who have made it in life and who have continuously inspired other women.

UON, as it is always referred to, produced the first woman in East and Central Africa to earn a doctorate degree –the late Wangari Maathai.

Talk of Martha Karua a woman who has done a lot to this country both as a lawyer and a politician. She has fought for the rights of women and all Kenyans as a whole.

Talk of Ida Odinga- a businesswoman, an activist and an educator.The list is endless of the great women that went through the University of Nairobi.

This world class university which is committed to scholarly excellence has done a lot of researches which have in equal measure done this country good.

To all students, of this great university may you continue to uphold the dignity of this institution so that through you the history of the University of Nairobi will always be written
