Following the implication of Energy cabinet secretary Mr. Davis Chirchir in the chicken scandal, it is advisable that he leaves office. This should be implemented by the president sacking him to pave way for investigations. The Jubilee administration has since its inception into power, declared that corruption will never exist in its midst. Unfortunately the fire had begun inside their house.
Furthermore Mr. Chirchir is in the United Republican Party, the Deputy President’s party and a close ally to Mr. Ruto. Given the above, the decision made by the president will be firm but daring. Will he ignore the public quest to sack Mr. Chirchir in order to save his votes in Rift Valley or sack him and be ready for rebellion in Rift Valley? President Uhuru should do all he can to assure the country that indeed his government is out to tame corruption for good.
