MACHAKOS, KENYA: Embattled Machakos Deputy Governor Barnard Kiala, whose stay in office now hangs in a balance after the County Assembly passed a motion to impeach him on grounds of alleged abuse of office and integrity issues, says he will soon ‘spill the beans’ on what he terms as deep-rooted rot in Governor Alfred Mutua’s government.
Reacting to reports that a section of lobby groups and local politicians have kicked off a debate about his possible replacement, Kiala said those behind the calls for his replacement are wishful thinkers who are terribly out of touch with the provisions of the constitution.
