Kenya Simbas lost 36-0 to nemesis Namibia in the 2022 Rugby Africa Cup doubling up as the 2023 Rugby World Cup Africa qualifier played on Sunday night at Stade Maurice David, Aix-en-Provence in France.

Simbas trailed 15-0 at the break before the Namibians sealed the win in the finals half with 23 more points as they continued with their unbeaten run against Kenya.

The Simbas have not beaten Namibia since 2014. By winning the finals, Namibia has now qualified for the 2023 World Cup.

Namibia has now secured their spot in Pool A at RWC 2023, alongside hosts France, New Zealand, Italy and Uruguay.

Kenya, meanwhile, will compete in the Final Qualification Tournament in November.

The Simbas knocked out Algeria 36-33 in a tense semifinal to reach the finals. Kenya also registered a big 42-7 win over Uganda in the quarterfinals.
