Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has wished World marathon record holder Eliud Kipchoge good luck through a Facebook post as he prepares for Ineos 1:59 Challenge in Vienna, Austria, on October 12.

Hours after Kipchoge arrived in Vienna on Tuesday, Wanyama took to social media to rally behind the 34-year-old to run the marathon in under two hours.

“Let me take this earliest opportunity to wish my friend and countryman Eliud Kipchoge the best in the INEOS159 in Vienna Austria this weekend. I believe you in your capability will run that marathon in 1:59 bro,' he captioned an old photo of himself with Kipchoge at Tottenham’s training ground in London.

Leading telecommunication company Safaricom also today announced that the Kenyan marathon runner will be on the M-Pesa logo for the next seven days.
