Defending champions Gor Mahia yesterday moved to the summit of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) standings after a hard-fought 2-0 win over hosts Nzoia Sugar at Mumias Sports Complex.

K’Ogalo captain Kenneth Muguna set the record Kenyan champions on their way with a 10th-minute goal before new-signing Clifton Miheso grabbed his first of the season with a sublime free-kick at the half-hour mark to make it 2-0 before the break.
