Manchester United have flown to the Netherlands for their clash with AZ Alkmaar without Paul Pogba.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken a 21-man squad for Thursday night’s Europa League clash but will be without the World Cup winner.

Pogo played the entire 90 minutes against Arsenal on Monday night but is continuing to struggle with a foot injury suffered in August.

The club declared he has been left at home for “a period of further rest and conservative treatment for the foot injury he sustained during the game against Southampton in August.”

As such Pogba is a doubt for Sunday's trip to Newcastle, but it's hoped that after treatment he will be fit to take on the struggling Magpies.

The French star joins Anthony Martial, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw and Phil Jones in sitting out the trip.

Wan-Bissaka missed Monday night’s match with tonsillitis and still isn’t 100 per cent, while Shaw continues to rehab a hamstring injury picked up in the loss to Crystal Palace.

Diogo Dalot and Angel Gomes have been included in the squad after injury, while left-back Brandon Williams is one of 10 Academy graduates who make the trip.

United go into the encounter in The Hague top of Group L, having opened up with a 1-0 win over Astana.
