The National Gun Owners Association (NGAO-Kenya) held their monthly International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) match yesterday at the Kirigiti Range in Kiambu County.

A total of 56 shooters drawn from civilians and the disciplined forces took part in the tournament and had to contend with six courses of fire (COFs) in a variety of scenarios.

Team Coast lived up to their winning morale by clinching a good number of the trophies.

In Sharpshooter (SS) Category, Ibrahim Ndungu finished second, Omar Moosa won the Marksman Category, with Taib Muzahim also winning the Novice title.

Meanwhile, Sgt Aden Mohammed bagged the Expert Category which saw NGAO-K chairman Anthony Wahome finishing second.

There was no entry in the masters’ category as all the would-be competitors, Robert Nyamongo, Mohammed Omar and Sammy Onyango are currently competing and officiating at the IDPA African Championships in Cape Town, South Africa.
