Kenya scrabble seed one Nderitu Gitonga targets his sixth national circuit win when more than 80 national scrabble masters converge at Pride Hotel in Bondo today for the ninth National Scrabble Circuit.

Gitonga won in May during the Meru National Scrabble Circuit but has to face long-time rival and former East Africa number one Allan Oyende.

Scrabble Kenya chairman Bernard Amuke said the circuit, which will be played over three divisions, acts as the final qualification competition for the forth-coming Pan African Scrabble Championship (Panasa) and Water and Sewerage Companies scrabble championship (Wasco) games.

“Scrabble Kenya will use this circuit to select 25 players to represent Kenya in the Panasa games. We will also be having youth games and so it will be a leg in Bondo,” Amuke said.
