SHOCKING! Dead man found at home of Arsenal superstar

A dead body has been found in the house of Arsenal star, Mohamed Elneny in Egypt

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has been left stunned after a dead body was reportedly found on the patio of his home in Egypt.

It has been claimed by Gazetta that the midfielder's father came across the corpse at the house located in Mahalla Al-Kubra and police were immediately informed of the shocking discovery.

An investigation has now been launched but at this stage, it is unclear how the deceased died.

Another website, 24.ae , has reported the the body was found 'in the patio' at the home which is currently under construction.

It has been a tough summer so far for the Egypt midfielder, who faces an uncertain future in north London after seemingly falling out of favour under manager Unai Emery.

The Spanish boss is seemingly intent on bolstering his midfield ranks this summer and last week secured the services of Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid.

Emery has also been desperate to land Wilfried Zaha this summer and even offered Elneny as part of the deal - but Crystal Palace are standing firm over their valuation of their star man.

The club’s head of football Raul Sanllehi arrived back to London from the US tour early to get deals done but they have not made any further progress with their Zaha pursuit since making an initial enquiry for £40m then discussing a player-plus-cash move.

Palace rejected both approaches out of hand with Arsenal believed to have offered Carl Jenkinson or Elneny plus the option of a young player on loan.

The fact Elneny was offered as part of the deal suggests the midfielder is no longer regarded as an important first-team player and may well want to seek a move this summer.

It doesn't look like he'll join Palace, though, with the Gunners seemingly pulling out of their chase for Zaha and instead turning their attention to Nicolas Pepe.

The north Londoners have reportedly agreed a £72m fee with Lille for the winger, who will become their third signing of the summer, with Ceballos joining on loan from Real Madrid and William Saliba coming in from St-Etienne for £27m.
