Football fans supporting the Scottish champions Celtic may be poised to be fined after they engaged in yet another political expression during a match pitting Celtic and Hibernian at Edinburg Easter Road on Sunday.

Reports from the Middle East media have revealed that Celtic fans engaged in political utterances where they mocked US President Donald Trump for recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital. The decision which has so far elicited mixed reactions around the world is said to be angering Celtic fans.

The fans printed banners with obscene messages which were directed at President Donald Trump. The least offensive of them all read: “Jerusalem is Palestine.”

The club last year bore the brunt of being slapped by fines, after fans waved Palestinian flags at an Isreali team during a Uefa Champions League match. The club was fined £ 82,000, to which supporters responded to in a strange gesture by collecting extra £ 78,000 on top of the fine to make £ 160,000 which they used to support the Palestinian refugees.

As a way of acclaiming the gesture of kindness and support taht was shown by the Scottish fans, Paletinian refugees inhabiting Bethlehem on the other hand collected money to pay the fines that were imposed on the Scottish club.

Criticism has been rife since President Trumpt opened up about his recognition of Jerusalem, where some people argue that he is meddling on foreignh issues.
